Brief About the Assessment Quality Assurance of the college

All our council assessment team members are qualified assessors, who  hold either of the following certificate A1, A2, D32/33/34, or Awards in Assessing Vocational Achievement or the equivalent qualifications. For new assessors, they work towards a qualification in assessing learning. Trainee assessors on a final award of any of our qualifications are supervised and countersigned by a qualified assessor. The assessment team consists of the board of assessors, called the academic council, led by a chair person who is also an internal verifier or lead Internal Quality Assurance(IQA) person. All internal verifiers of the council are monitored by the team of independent External Quality Assurance(EQA) from external exam boards which accredit some of our programmes directly or through partnership providers. We also work with independent External Quality Assurance(EQA) personnel who help in the Internal Quality Assurance(IQA) processes for awarding internal qualifications which we design, and also help to prepare for EQA visits from exam boards.

TESTIMONIALS IN THE UNIVERSITY & COLLEGE

CURRENT ACHIEVEMENTS

Care Certificate Progression Achievement

Susan, from Zambia. July 2023.

 Susan Chisanga Testmony2

After my course, I decided to apply skills the college taught us. Firstly I found a job in Zambia in the care sector. I became a talk of the day due to my great skills I learnt from the West Midlands Open College and Lukomonah John University. The certificate itself was well compacted with clear areas of qualifications. My managers, in Zambia, liked my performance which I attributed to the skills taught at the aforementioned institutions. The certificate from the West Midlands Open College is simply the best.

Then I also started implementing the JOB WORK SHOP skills, on how to look for employment in the UK, the West Midlands Open College and Lukomonah John University, taught us. I dedicated time to it. I EMPLOYED MY SELF TO LOOK FOR EMPLOYMENT. Today I am in the UK employed as a Carer,.. to hear more of my testimony click here.
